What An Incredible Promise!

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.”  -1 Peter 1:3-5

Dear Lord,

Thank You for this incredible promise of life!  Praise be to Your name forever and ever!

Let Us Pray…In Faith!

“Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.  Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.  Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”  - James 5:13-16

Dear Lord,

Teach Your people to pray like this.  Teach us to truly grasp the power of prayer, for prayer truly is “powerful and effective.”  Lord, teach us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) as we walk through each day with You.
