Amen, Let It Be So!

“For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me and Silas and Timothy—was not ‘Yes’ and ‘No,’ but in Him it has always been ‘Yes.’  For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through Him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.”  -2 Corinthians 1:19-20

What a marvelous Savior we serve!  “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ.”  This reminds me of my post, He Is Able, He Is Willing.  Christ is able (Romans 14:3-4), and Christ is willing (Matthew 8:1-4), and because of this “in Him is has always been ‘Yes,’” and it will always be “Yes.”  Amen to that!

Lord,

Thank You for Your willingness to save us.  Thank You that Your “Yes” means “Yes.”  Thank You that Your promises are guaranteed.  Thank You that through You we can say “Amen” and be assured of Your response.  We love You Lord, for You are a great God!
